The Instructor: Jewel Wellborn is a certified petroleum geologist with proven expertise in the field of geology. She holds a Masters in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from California State University, Los Angeles. She is also a Wyoming Professional Geologist and has been President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists.
Her career has included successful employment with Occidental , Atlantic Richfield , Conoco, Shell, and Ocean Energy. In 1999, she formedHydrocarbon Exploration and Development Inc, as a private geologic consulting firm specializing in the use of industry software to unlock natural resources. Jewel’s expertise in Rocky Mountain and Gulf Coast basins, as well as in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs brings a real life work-flow and understanding to the training she provides.
